Dear Plumppr Users
As you may have noticed, Plumppr has been running intermittently these past few weeks. We sincerely apologize for that, but all of this has been to improve the platform.
Plumppr has been completely rewritten from scratch in a new language, and naturally, this brought some consequences.
While most users and their photos were successfully migrated, some users unfortunately lost their photos. The migration was not easy at all. Those users will receive an email from Plumppr apologizing for the inconvenience and asking them to re-upload their photos.
On another note, database costs turned out to be very high. To manage this, we've implemented a system where accounts inactive for more than 4 months will be closed to save space until we can expand.
Additionally, all plumpps (likes) on photos have been reset to give the site a fresh start.
We want to apologize again and thank you for using Plumppr. The site is now more secure, more private, and every user will be manually reviewed so we all feel safer.
The first time you log in to the new Plumppr, you'll be asked to complete your location — just save it and you're back in!
Everything should be much faster and smoother now. We've learned a lot from our mistakes. Please understand that we are a very small team, very new to this, and we just want to do things right.
